Jennifer Freeburn is a clinically certified and licensed speech-language pathologist. She obtained her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Jennifer’s clinical work has primarily focused on the treatment of speech and cognitive-linguistic disorders arising from neurological conditions including stroke, brain injury, neurodegenerative disease, and cancer-related cognitive impairment. Her clinical interests also include treatment of childhood language impairments and learning disabilities such as ADHD. Jennifer has had experience providing interdisciplinary care for children, adolescents, and adults in both inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient settings.
In her practice, Jennifer maintains a focus on understanding each patient’s goals and tailoring therapeutic tasks accordingly. She is dedicated to maximizing the communication functioning of each individual patient. Her treatment strategies often include principles of self-awareness and mindfulness to support long-lasting carryover outside of the therapy room.
