Jill Furumoto, MA, LMHC, LMT is a trained Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Music Therapist, and Licensed Massage Therapist. Her career has spanned over 20 years in the field of Human Services helping individuals overcome issues at work, school and at home. Most recently, Jill has gained certifications in Tele-mental Health and Clinical Anxiety Treatment through Evergreen Certification Institute. Her specializations in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Group Therapy (DBT), psychotherapy and mindfulness have directed her work towards helping clients reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic stress and pain. Jill also has training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MSBR) and has recently appeared on the Burlington local cable access television station, teaching mindfulness and breathing techniques.
At Whole Beauty and Health Jill has been able to help clients from all walks of life: young children or teenagers, war veterans, including young veterans who just returned home from their service, families in need of couple’s therapy, and anyone who suffered from anxiety, depression, past trauma, or eating disorders. Jill works hand in hand with our dietitian, Sarah Canterman, to better assist those who struggle with an eating disorder or weight management. Jill’s clients describe her as calm, compassionate, caring and very knowledgeable.
