Irina Cooper, M.Ac., L.Ac., MBA

Dr. Cooper left her native post-Soviet Ukraine in 1994 to come to the U.S. Her original passion was in Business and she pursued her education in that area by receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business and English from Emmanuel College and earning her Master’s Degree in Business and Information Systems from Northeastern University. She worked in several Boston-based corporations in various Finance, Business and Computer Systems-related roles.

Upon the birth of her son Michael in 2006, Ms. Cooper realized that the corporate world did not strike the spark of passion in her, and her soul searching quickly led her to Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. She began her studies at the New England School of Acupuncture and earned her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as a Master’s Degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine.

As soon as Dr. Cooper opened her practice in 2011, she quickly began applying her education and clinical skills to help patients battle chronic conditions and various health issues and ailments. Her practice grew very rapidly as more and more patients were recommending to their family members and friends to see Dr. Cooper. She treats patients of all ages as well as their beloved pets.

In addition to the standard Acupuncture program, Dr. Cooper attended various courses to deepen her knowledge in treating certain health conditions. She received an additional training in Pediatric Medicine, treating Thyroid Disorders, ADHD, Digestive Health, Autoimmune Conditions, Chronic Lyme Disease, Depression and Anxiety, Women’s Health and many others. Additionally, she received a special training in using Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs for Weight Loss and Cosmetic Acupuncture.

“I consider myself a very fortunate person because I found my true passion – healing people with the use of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. It is incredibly rewarding to help someone feel better and be pain-free. Every single day people come to my office and thank me because now they can do their own dishes or finally take a walk with the dog or get a good night sleep. By doing what I absolutely love I change people’s lives every single day. Can you imagine how it feels to have a patient walk in on crutches and after your treatment watch them leave your office as they are holding the crutches in one hand? Or if someone suffers from chronic migraines and after several treatments receive a call and find out that they have been migraine-free for 30 solid days for the first time in their life? I can not describe the feelings that I have at those moments!

I treat every individual patient as a separate case. We are all different, and there are as many patterns and approaches to treatment as there are people. Each patient receives my solid attention, and I will continue to do everything I can to help my patients to be healthier and happier.” Irina Cooper
