Wendy Mastrogiovanni MS, OTR/L
Wendy Mastrogiovanni is a board certified, licensed and insured, Occupational Therapist. Wendy graduated with her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2004 from the University of New England in Biddeford, ME. For the first 2 years, Wendy worked with children and adolescents with physical, emotional, psychiatric and behavior issues. She developed her skills in sensory integration, environmental adaptations, group therapy, and equipment modifications. For the next 8 years, Wendy worked primarily with the adult and elderly populations in acute rehabilitation settings. During this time, it became very obvious to her that she had an affinity for leadership roles. In 2006, Wendy took her first role as a Director of Rehabilitation and over the next 10 years went on to be Area Director overseeing many facilities in Massachusetts. Despite her love and success of being a Director, Wendy always spent time each day treating patients. In 2016, an opportunity to work and explore the area of home health pulled her away from her comfort of acute rehabilitation. As a Director of a home health office, Wendy was able to discover the clinical and managerial side to the business and was able to use her experience to grow her office from a small 11 town territory to a 33 town territory that stretched from Boston to Attleboro.
In 2018, the needs of her husband and 3 children required her to move her work closer to home. Wendy took this opportunity to expand her experience and her knowledge base by exploring outpatient rehabilitation. Since then, Wendy has treated clients of all ages with issues related to pain, post-surgery rehab, balance difficulties, weakness, tingling or numbness, fall prevention, decreased range of motion, fine motor difficulties, sensory issues, and developmental delay.
Wendy has been extensively trained in stroke rehabilitation using NDT technique, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, orthopedics, and sensory deficits.
