Angela Koulax, DPT

A graduate of Winston-Salem State University, N.C. with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Angela has over 20 years of treating orthopedic and sports injuries. Her comprehensive approach to rehabilitation integrates manual therapy and progressive therapeutic exercises to optimize functional performance of all skill levels, from recreational, high school, college and professional.  

Angela has experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic and sport related injuries and dysfunctions. Her manual skills include myofascial release, strain/counter strain, craniosacral therapy, joint mobilization and muscle energy techniques, as well as soft tissue mobilization. Along with her wide-ranging manual skills, she combines her continuing education with advance therapeutic exercises. Angela is also proficient in neuromuscular facilitation, core stabilization, functional movement, biomechanics, post-operative, vestibular rehabilitation, Kinesiotaping, Graston, manual therapy of spine, Bio-Synchronistics, Cupping, Mulligan and Maitland techniques.

Angela has attended numerous seminars to stay up to date on current orthopedic and rehabilitation approaches and programs, and she combines her experience and continuing education to provide comprehensive evaluations and treatments to address the source of the individual’s problem and to optimize function and performance.
